Friends of Peirce (FOP)
Friends of Peirce is a 501(c)3 non-profit organFriends of Peirce is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to assisting Helen C. Pierce maximize the potential of its students to achieve their dreams by experiencing a world class primary education within the Chicago Public School system. Friends of Peirce works in partnership with the Peirce Local School Council (LSC), Parent Service Organization (PSO), Parent Advisory Council (PAC)/Bi-lingual Action Committee (BAC) and provides parent-led fundraising capabilities.

Peirce service organization (PSO)
The PSO is a service organization that plans events and activities throughout the school year to support the faculty, students, and parents of Peirce School.
The PSO solicits volunteers to carry out numerous activities for Peirce families to enjoy. We encourage all Peirce parents/guardians to get involved with the school and ask that parents volunteer service hours throughout the year. |

Bilingual Action Committee (BAC)
BAC (Bilingual Advisory Council) The Bilingual Advisory Council is open to all parents/guardians of children who are enrolled in the bilingual program. BAC has informative meetings regarding academic improvement of bilingual students and work to increase parental involvement at Peirce School. BAC members attend meetings that take place in other schools throughout the year regarding important updates in bilingual education. Elections of officers are held each year.

Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)
PAC is a federally funded parent program. The Local School Title I PAC exists to provide parents, legal guardians, and persons standing in loco parentis to students participating in Title I, Part A programs, a meaningful opportunity to work with their school principal and staff in the planning, design, implementation and evaluation of the Title I School-wide or Targeted Assistance Program and Parental Involvement Program, including the school’s Parent Involvement Policy and School-Parent Compact. At Peirce the PAC primarily focuses on organizing educational workshops and activities for parents and discussing issues of importance to parents.
